About the Artwork
"Randolph + Dearborn" is one of the six pieces from the "Chicago in Winter" series. Inspired by moments of urban beauty, these pieces draw upon the warm feelings the city can evoke even on the coldest days. 
 
"Randolph + Dearborn" features the Delaware Building, built in the 1800s. The sleek corportate buildings in the background juxtapose this historical building. Chicago is filled with these old-meets-new moments, and there's so much beauty in the contrast. The journaled words "Things will work out," grace the top of the image and "the spirit," "the soul," "the unfolding" and "angelic forces" root the bottom, serving as a reminder of the spiritual and the physical existing simultaneously. Even in winter!
 
Using a layering technique with a printed original photo, the "Chicago in Winter" pieces are one of a kind with no prints made. Art comes unframed and can be floated on a large mat for a larger piece or framed closer to highlight the detailed image.
