About Alyson 
I'm a life-long artist with a background in performance, writing and education. I graduated from DePaul’s Theatre School with a BFA in Theatre Studies and DePaul’s School of Education with a M.Ed in Secondary Education. I trained in makeup artistry at Makeup First Chicago and worked makeup in all media, informing my approach to layers, balance, color and texture. I've also studied Figure Drawing at Palette and Chisel in Chicago.  My art is held in private collections across the US and is featured on Wescover.com. 

In addition to my art practice, I'm an actor (click here for my acting reel), writer and have taught high school English + Theatre, Reiki and yoga.
