About the Artwork
"The Chicago Brown Line" is one of the six pieces from the "Chicago in Winter" series. Inspired by moments of urban beauty, these pieces draw upon the warm feelings the city can evoke even on the coldest days. 
 
"The Chicago Brown Line" features the view to the South from the platform. A brick commercial loft building is in the center, a strong presence. The surrounding sky, tracks and platform read cold, cold, cold. One could imagine waiting for the Brown Line train, wishing to be out of the winter elements and inside the protective brick loft building. Braving the elements is an unavoidable a part of "Chicago in Winter."
 
Using a layering technique with an original printed photo, the "Chicago in Winter" pieces are one of a kind with no prints made. Art comes unframed and can be floated on a large mat for a larger piece or framed closer to highlight the detailed image.
